  • BLAIR CANN (senior partner and adviser) was educated at St Paul's School,West Kensington (now re-sited in Barnes),and spent a few months short of forty years with the Commercial Union Group(which now trades as Norwich Union).He was a Broker Consultant, spending most of his time in and around the north London and Hertfordshire area. Married with three children, he holds the associateship examination of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate; he also holds the certificate in Regulated Equity Release which was achieved by a Merit pass.He is in addition (by a further examination) a Certified Financial Planner, one of the highest designations available to financial advisers. Blair is involved with his local club club,Redbourn CC; he is also a keen supporter of Bedford Rugby Club.
  • MICHAEL THURLOW (administrator) was educated at St Ignatius College. On leaving school he joined a large City firm of Insurance Brokers,returning there after two years National Service with the RAF. During his time there he was the author of a short book published in 1962 "Motor Claims-The Law and the Motorist". Michael started his own brokerage in 1963 and in 1969 opened an office in Chingford with a partner. By 1974 the business had grown enough to split and allow the partners to run separate offices-the Cuffley office duly opened in 1975.Today the general insurance division is under his sole proprietorship but he serves on the financial services side as compliance officer.
